Our story

Kalange Cottage was founded in 2025 by Sarah Kalange—a recovering public relations professional turned event planner who just happens to love baking. She fell in love with a firefighter, got married, and they set out to build a coastal cottage life in the charming town of Summerdale, AL.

When they were dating, Sarah would bring fresh-baked rolls to Jason’s fire station, where they quickly became an unofficial shift favorite. Soon after came the chickens (you know how “chicken math” goes), and the homestead was hatched.

At Kalange Cottage, everything is rooted in honest ingredients and the joy of making food that’s meant to be shared. We keep it simple: farm-fresh eggs from our hens (lovingly called the Henderosa) and gooey cinnamon rolls baked fresh in our kitchen. More offerings may come and go, but that’s the heart of what we do.
